The major social media platforms Americans use every day have something in common beyond algorithms and advertising revenue.
Meta has a $22 billion Army contract through its partnership with Anduril Industries. Microsoft, which owns LinkedIn, holds tens of billions in Pentagon contracts through Azure. Google, which owns YouTube, has significant defense contracts through its cloud division. X is owned by Elon Musk, whose SpaceX holds an $843 million NASA contract and is positioned for the Golden Dome missile defense system.
These are not neutral platforms. They are companies with significant financial relationships with the U.S. defense establishment, run by executives with direct White House access.
Skrrl.com was built as an alternative.
JJ Johnson, founder of AMILLI AI, Corp. and declared 2028 presidential candidate, launched Skrrl as the first product of his company. It is a social platform with no defense contractor ownership, no Pentagon contracts, and no executive sitting at White House AI summits.
The timing matters. Johnson built Skrrl after watching what happens on platforms that are owned by the wrong people. A declared candidate gets his account flagged for harassment within 24 hours of creation. Campaign content gets zero views while neutral content reaches thousands. Posts spin without publishing. Videos confirm upload and never appear.
Skrrl exists because free speech on a platform owned by a defense contractor is not free speech. It is speech that is permitted until it isn't.
Johnson's federal civil complaint, Case No. 1:26-cv-00197-RH-HTC, is pending in the Northern District of Florida. A second complaint naming Microsoft, Alphabet, Google, YouTube, and their executives is in preparation.
Skrrl.com is live now.
