Pump.fun, the dominant Solana meme coin launchpad with over $935 million in revenue, is now paying creators for callouts — one-time payments for promoting the platform or specific tokens to their audiences.
It's a telling move.
When a platform with nearly a billion dollars in revenue has to pay people to talk about it, the underlying creator economics aren't doing the job on their own. Callout rewards are a short-term retention tactic — a way to keep creators engaged and bringing in new users when the platform's own revenue sharing model isn't compelling enough to do it naturally.
Pump.fun spent most of 2026 overhauling its creator fee structure, moving from a flat 0.05% creator share to a more complex system through its PumpSwap DEX. The result, after multiple revisions, is roughly 0.05% per trade going to creators after the platform takes its cut. Now it's layering callout payments on top of that because the base model still isn't retaining creators the way the platform needs.
PumpAMilli.com launched with a different model from day one.
When a creator launches a token on PumpAMilli, they receive 0.25% of every trade that token generates — forever. No callout required. No promotional campaign needed. Every time anyone trades their coin, anywhere, the creator earns. That's five times more per trade than Pump.fun's creator allocation, paid automatically, for the life of the coin.
A creator who earns from every trade their coin does forever has more incentive to keep promoting it than a creator who received a one-time callout payment last Tuesday.
Pump.fun built a fee extraction machine and is now paying people to keep using it. PumpAMilli built a creator economy where the incentive to promote is built into the economics of every trade.
The callout rewards tell you which model actually works.
PumpAMilli.com is live now.
