JJ Johnson has lived in Florida for 40 years. He founded his company here. He filed his federal complaint here. He is running for President from here.
When he sought help from Florida's Attorney General regarding documented platform suppression of his campaign, the office did not act.
So he went elsewhere.
This week Johnson contacted the offices of five Democratic state Attorneys General — New York, California, Washington, Illinois, and Massachusetts — submitting documented evidence of systematic suppression of his campaign content across six major platforms. He has already spoken with the New York Attorney General's office directly.
The evidence he submitted includes repeated control test comparisons: campaign content receiving zero views and zero engagement while neutral, non-political content posted to the same accounts during the same period received thousands of views and normal engagement. Every test is dated. Every result is documented with screen recordings and screenshots.
Johnson's federal civil complaint, Case No. 1:26-cv-00197-RH-HTC, is pending in the Northern District of Florida against Meta, X Corp, SpaceX, TikTok, Oracle, and their executives. A second complaint naming Microsoft, Alphabet, Google, YouTube, and their executives, alleging civil RICO violations and election interference, is in preparation.
The Democratic AGs Johnson contacted have track records on platform accountability. New York Attorney General Letitia James led the multistate antitrust coalition that investigated Facebook. California, Washington, Illinois, and Massachusetts have each pursued platform accountability actions under state consumer protection and antitrust frameworks.
Florida's AG has not.
A presidential candidate with documented evidence of systematic campaign suppression should not have to seek relief outside the state he has called home for four decades. The fact that he does says something about who is willing to hold these platforms accountable and who is not.
